It is made of plain, twill, and satin weaving methods, and the horizontal and vertical yarns are evenly distributed (for example, the VS20-3KPS model has 50 yarns per centimeter in the horizontal and vertical directions). In this way, it can withstand a lot of tension in both directions, and the tensile strength can reach more than 3400 MPa. Compared with unidirectional cloth, it can better cope with forces from different directions, and is particularly suitable for reinforcement of curved structures or nodes with complex stress points.

This bidirectional carbon fiber cloth has a density of only 1.7 grams per cubic centimeter, and weighs less than a quarter of steel, but its tensile strength is stronger than steel! And it is very thin, only 0.11 mm per layer.
