The Challenge: System-Level Reliability under 800V & SiC Platforms
As EV powertrain systems evolve toward higher power densities and voltage platforms, e-motors face unprecedented reliability challenges. Driven by 800V platforms, SiC devices, and high-frequency PWM control, conventional materials are being pushed to their limits:
· Electrical Bearing Erosion — Shaft voltage accumulation causes oil film breakdown, leading to frequent fluting.
· Insulation Degradation — Intensive partial discharge (PD) and corona phenomena accelerate traditional insulation aging.
· High-Speed Instability — Extreme rotational speeds demand strict mechanical strength against thermal-mechanical deformation and centrifugal forces.
